How long has Houseproud been operating?

The company was set up in 1999 and has grown from strength to strength since then.

How many cleaners do you have on your team?

Approximately 45 to 50 cleaners who work on either a full or part-time basis.

Do your cleaners work on their own or pairs?

Some work in pairs, particularly in larger houses, whilst others work alone.

How do you train your cleaners?

All our cleaners have one-to-one training when they start and this comprises of on and off the job sessions. We also operate a mentoring system, whereby a new cleaner may be assigned to work with a more experienced cleaner for a while.

How do you vet your cleaners?

Most of our cleaners are recruited on a recommendation basis and often interviewed in their own home. However, we also obtain two references, preferably from previous employers.

Will I always have the same cleaner?

You will be allocated a dedicated cleaner. However, if they are ill or on holiday, we will let you know as soon as possible and organise to send a replacement if required.

Can I specify the day and time my cleaner comes?

We always try to be as accommodating as possible and will endeavor to give you a cleaner that will fit in with your busy schedule.

Do I have to be at home to let them in each time?

Your cleaner would be more than happy to hold your keys and learn how to operate your alarm system.

What happens if my cleaner is sick or on holiday?

If your cleaner is sick, we will let you know as soon as possible and organise to send a replacement, if required. If your cleaner would like to take a holiday, we will call you to let you know and discuss the options that are available for a replacement during the holiday period.

Can I change my cleaner if I am not happy?

On the rare occasions that this happens, please let us know and we will do all we can to remedy the situation as soon as possible. We have a large cleaner base and will endeavor to supply you with a more suitable cleaner.

Do you have a minimum number of hours?

The minimum number of hours is two.

Does Houseproud supply the cleaning materials?

We prefer to use all of your cleaning materials and equipment. This keeps you in control and ensures that the correct product is being used.
